WHAT'S HAPPENING BEHIND THE PAINT?

The chances are that the external softwood timbers on your home were not prepared from seasoned timbers. They would no doubt have contained some moisture that has caused the final paint finish to crack and flake to expose bare wood beneath. With the exterior protection breached it is conceivable that the elements have now started a deterioration process that encourages the timbers to rot.

The ABS Home Improvement Installation system is supplied complete with a roof guard membrane that deflects rainwater direct into new guttering, and not down the brickwork, to further protect your home.

ABS Home Improvement Installations also offer an attractive maintenance-free solution to cladding. Again manufactured in ultra-white, durable PVC-u it is the ultimate replacement for softwood cladding.

As with all ABS products we remove all existing timbers including battens back to the brickwork. Then with the aid of a vapour barrier and new tanalised timber battens the new PVC-u cladding is installed. As with fascias and soffits all fixings are with concealed stainless steel pins and screws to ensure a trouble free location. Purpose designed couplings ensure all joints are clean and tidy, as do the complementary end caps.
