ABS Home Improvements has kicked off an exciting new barn conversion project and our first task has been to install brand-new aluminium entrance doors. This is just the beginning of a full transformation and we’re excited to share our progress so far.
These aluminium entrance doors aren’t just for looks—they’re part of a specialised "Curtain Wall System." This system is designed to handle everything from the unpredictable British weather to the heavy structure of the barn itself. Strong and durable, aluminium doors offer long-lasting protection while giving the building a modern touch.
These doors were carefully chosen to fit both the practical needs of the project and the overall design. Aluminium is known for its strength and low maintenance, making it an ideal choice for a building that’s exposed to the elements.
The entrance doors are just the start. ABS Home Improvements is responsible for all the windows and doors in this barn conversion. From large feature windows to smaller details, every opening will be designed and installed to suit the building’s needs. The goal is to keep everything secure and weatherproof while improving the building’s appearance and functionality.
As we continue, we’ll be installing windows that offer great insulation and more light, along with additional doors to complete the structure. Each element is chosen to complement the barn’s character while bringing it up to modern standards.
This is only Part 1 of the project and there’s much more to come. We’ll be sharing further updates as the conversion progresses, from the next round of installations to the final touches that will complete the transformation.

I’ll be continuing to use ABS
This is the third time I have used ABS. This time it was for 3 more windows and a new front door. I am so very pleased with the final product, just what I wanted. From initial visit to installation everyone is so very helpful. Now I’m saving again for the next set of windows and I’ll be continuing to use ABS.
